DETROIT, August 1, 2002 -- Michelle Zdrodowski, account manager for Franco Public Relations Group, has been elected to the board of directors of the Friends of the Detroit Public Library.
In addition to her 3-year board term, Zdrodowski serves on the organization’s executive committee as vice president of membership.
“As an avid reader and life-long Detroiter, being a part of the Friends of the Detroit Public Library board is a perfect fit for me,” said Zdrodowski. “I’m always looking for ways to give back to my community and this board appointment provides the perfect opportunity.”
Zdrodowski currently manages several Franco accounts including Yazaki North America, Foster, Swift, Collins & Smith, PC, Sunoco, and the Detroit Discovery Museum. Prior to coming to Franco, Zdrodowski served as deputy press secretary to former Detroit Mayor Dennis W. Archer.
Established in 1942, the Friends of the Detroit Public Library is committed to supporting Detroit’s Main Library and its 24 branches by acquiring books, promoting literacy and implementing literary programs that support and supplement library services.
