Dan Ponder |

Dan Ponder is the chief executive officer of Detroit-based Franco Public Relations Group, a regional leader in public relations for more than 37 years. Dan joined Franco in 1985 as its chief financial officer. Over the ensuing years, he assumed broad financial and operational responsibilities. In 1993, he led a successful management buy-out of the company. Prior to joining Franco, Dan was a member of the Private Company Advisory Service at Deloitte & Touche in Detroit, which provided various financial and consultative services to small and mid-sized companies. Dan serves on numerous non-profit committees and boards, including the boards of directors of the Detroit Regional Chamber, the Michigan State Chamber, and the Alliance for a Safer, Greater Detroit; the Board of Trustees of the Michigan Council for Economic Education; and the Henry Ford Estate Advisory Board. In 1996 - 1997, the Detroit Regional Chamber presented Dan a service award recognizing his leadership and contribution as past chair of the chamber's Small Business Executive Committee. Dan holds an Executive MBA degree and a B.A. degree in business from the Graduate School of Management and the College of Business at Michigan State University. Dan is also a graduate of Leadership Detroit X.
