“The Compassionate Communicator”
Megan Bonelli is an account supervisor and a cross functioning marketing and communications guru with a natural ability to flawlessly pivot from nonprofit to automotive communications. At Franco, she’s responsible for serving as an account lead on various nonprofit, B2B and consumer accounts. She helps clients foster community relationships and drives media relations and social media activities that generate results. She co-manages several of Franco’s marketing programs and co-leads the firm’s student relations responsibilities.
Most known for her project management skills and Family + Team + Community (one of Franco’s core values) attitude, Megan puts people first and frequently goes above and beyond expectations, even so much as modeling on FOX 2 Detroit for a client’s fashion segment. She’s kind, empathetic and incredibly caring. If you’ve had a bad day, she’s the first person to notice. If your inner critic is bringing you down, she’s the person to call to help build back your confidence. If it’s your birthday, she makes you feel like you’re the only one in the room. And she outshines everyone while singing the Happy Birthday song (she’s a singing superstar who tried out for NBC’s The Voice!).
Megan started her communications career in agency life at MCCI as a communications associate and quickly grew to a communications executive. Looking for a change, she shifted to corporate communications as a digital communication strategist at Tweddle Group. Missing the fast-paced, high energy agency life, she later pursued agency work again and joined Franco in 2017. From the moment she joined Franco, she fully immersed herself, quickly leading high impact projects like helping the City of Royal Oak communicate a large-scale construction project dubbed Rethink Royal Oak.
Megan spent her college years on the west side of Michigan attending Grand Valley State University earning a Bachelor of Science in public relations and advertising with an emphasis in PR. Actively involved in the communications industry, Megan is a recipient of the PRSA Detroit 2019 Nancy Skidmore Award for Distinguished Chapter Service. She’s a board member of PRSA Detroit, a board liaison for the blog committee and a diversity committee member.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, yoga, charcuterie and exploring the hidden gems of Detroit. She resides in Royal Oak, Mich. With her husband, Chris, and their cat, Luna.
